Recent News for the Project!!
Hi everyone,
Thanks for following "Through the Eyes of Hope Project". We have some good news! We are finally hoping to open up a Photography Portrait Studio/Business for the kids here in Kigali this coming year. This will endeavor will not only make this project sustainable for years to come but it will also be able to invite many more children to be part of this project. In order to make this amazing opportunity happen for the kids we need your help to do so. We are need of computers, printers, cameras and more. Packing & Cleaning
I am getting excited about going back to Rwanda! I've been packing it up and cleaning it up. I need to write more in these blogs. Oh well, till then this will have to suffice. I just uploaded a photograph of the Muyenzi kids first day receiving their film cameras. After two years they finally got to have their own cameras!! That was a good day!!

Visiting Photographer for the day
Photographer Bernie Dechant graciously visited the photography students at St. Athanasius School the other week. He showed the kids his beautiful photographs and showed them how to use a medium format camera. I was just so glad that the kids could be able to see such beautiful and strong work taken by Bernie. So I hope some of what he shared with the kids sinks into their minds when they are taking photographs and that they know if they want they can also take amazing photographs to if they like. The photographer who visited is Bernie Dechant and his website is www.berniedechant.com . He is super talented!!
